What is Dream.Bid and where we are heading to
It’s been a while since we started working on Dream.Bid — and now we’ve been silent for some time, therefore we decided to share some parts of our journey with you all, to make everything clear about who we are, where we are at right now, and what you can expect next.
Dream.Bid, as some of you may already know, is a new digital auction house: as our slogan ‘luxury is not a luxury anymore’ suggests, our goal is to make luxury goods accessible to everyone, even to people that couldn’t normally afford them otherwise, allowing everyone to get the product of their dreams. Our products can vary from fashion to technology, design and luxury in all its forms.
All items on Dream.Bid are new, original and certified, carefully selected by our buyers from official physical or online retailers.
Once landed on our website you will be able to register for free via email or with Facebook and Google, and in a few easy steps, after buying a package of tokens — (you can choose the one that is most suitable for you) — you are ready to bid on your most desired luxury products!
After this, it’s all a matter of time (and luck)! The last user placing a big wins the auction.
In fact, on Dream.Bid every auction starts at 0€, having no reserve price, so everyone can bid, everyone can win! All auctions last 2 weeks and expire every day usually at 12.00 CET, 13.00 CET or 15.00 CET.
On our platform, you won’t even have to worry about privacy, as other users will only know the username you choose to bid, and every other personal info is only accessible internally… so choose your username wisely!
Everyone can register on Dream.Bid, but currently, we are only available in Italy and the United Kingdom.
After working hard for a couple of years, we launched the platform in mid-October 2020 for our first tranche of auctions, obtaining over 3000 registered users and nearly 30 objects sold (to some very lucky ‘dreamers’) in just one month!
We surely didn’t expect this success! This eventually led us to ‘take a break’; Hence, right now we are working on optimising our website, with new additional features and a brand-new look, to finally give everyone the smoothest and best user experience possible!
We are conscious that some of you didn’t see this coming, but we hope we didn’t disappoint anyone. We are focusing on improving and learning from daily experiences and mistakes… We are grateful for all the excitement and support that you all showed us until now, and hope you will stick with us!
Luckily, by our side, we have an expert team of developers that are taking lots of efforts and time in working on all of this.
